About

I came into cardiac surgery with almost no surgical background.

Three months out of PA school, I started in a cardiac surgery OR. No roadmap. No onboarding system. I figured it out — and eventually became the person responsible for building the systems I never had.

As APP Supervisor at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, I grew our team from 7 to 14, achieved zero turnover for four consecutive years, and trained five of our eight OR APPs. I also built and manage the STS adult cardiac surgery database for our program.

Now I help other programs do the same — faster, with less guesswork.
